1. About us

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of https://inglesidecollege.com.au and to bookings and services supplied by Ingleside Care Services Pty Ltd trading as Ingleside College, ABN 27 669 735 988 (“Ingleside College”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Our contact details are:

  • Address: Suite 230, Level 2, 10 King Street, Rockdale New South Wales 2216

  • Telephone: (02) 9072 8061

  • Email: [email protected]

2. Application of these terms

These terms govern your use of our website. When you book a course, the version provided to you before booking also forms part of your booking agreement.

Before accepting your booking, we will make available the relevant course information, fees, cancellation and refund conditions, and any applicable enrolment agreement or student handbook.

Any course-specific conditions must be disclosed before you agree to them. If documents conflict, mandatory Australian law prevails. Any remaining inconsistency must be resolved consistently with your statutory rights and any specific terms expressly agreed with you.

3. Training providers and nationally recognised training

Ingleside College provides training services, including services delivered on behalf of partner Registered Training Organisations (“RTOs”).

For nationally recognised training, your course information and enrolment documents will identify:

  • The responsible RTO and its registration number.

  • Ingleside College’s role in delivering or administering the course.

  • The training product code and title.

  • The organisation responsible for assessment and issuing certification.

The responsible RTO retains its regulatory responsibilities for nationally recognised training delivered on its behalf.

Courses described as non-accredited do not lead to a nationally recognised qualification or Statement of Attainment.

4. Course information and suitability

Before enrolment, we will provide relevant information about course content, delivery mode, location, duration, prerequisites, assessment requirements, fees and available support.

You must provide accurate enrolment information and complete any required suitability checks.

Please tell us about any learning, language, accessibility or support needs relevant to your participation. We will discuss available support and reasonable adjustments with you. You do not need to disclose unrelated medical information.

Reasonable adjustments must preserve the essential competency and assessment requirements of the course.

Where a participant is under 18, any applicable minimum age and parent or guardian consent requirements will be explained before enrolment.

5. Bookings and enrolment

A booking is confirmed when we provide written confirmation and any stated payment or enrolment conditions have been met.

Please check your confirmation and promptly notify us of any errors.

If you book for another person or an organisation, you must have authority to make the booking and communicate the relevant course requirements and terms to participants.

Any payment obligations of an employer or other booking party will be stated in the booking agreement.

6. Fees and payment

Fees are stated in Australian dollars. Before booking, we will disclose the total payable price, including GST where applicable and any unavoidable charges.

Any additional charges, including reassessment, replacement resources, certificate reissue, equipment delivery or equipment return charges, must be disclosed and agreed before they are incurred.

Payment is due at booking unless we agree otherwise in writing.

We will not increase the agreed price of an existing booking without your agreement. Prepaid fees will be collected and protected in accordance with applicable requirements and the responsible RTO’s arrangements.

If payment is overdue, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter before taking proportionate action. Any suspension of services or withholding of documents must be permitted by law and applicable RTO requirements.

7. Participation and assessment

You must:

  • Complete required preparation and online learning.

  • Attend the required training and assessment sessions.

  • Follow reasonable safety instructions.

  • Treat staff and other participants respectfully.

  • Submit your own work and provide genuine assessment evidence.

  • Meet the disclosed assessment and completion requirements.

Attendance or payment alone does not guarantee competency or certification.

Some courses require physical demonstrations, including CPR on a manikin placed on the floor. Relevant requirements will be disclosed before enrolment.

If you cannot complete a requirement, we will discuss available support, reassessment or other suitable options. Any additional fees must have been disclosed before you agreed to them.

We do not guarantee employment, professional registration, licensing or a particular assessment outcome.

8. Online learning and loan equipment

For online or virtual training, we will disclose the required devices, internet access, software and equipment before booking.

You must take reasonable steps to protect your account credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorised access.

Where equipment is loaned to you, the loan period, return arrangements and any applicable charges will be disclosed before booking. You must take reasonable care of the equipment and return it as agreed.

Any charge for loss or damage must be reasonable, reflect the circumstances and exclude fair wear and tear or faults not caused by you.

If a technical problem within our control materially prevents participation, we will arrange a reasonable remedy, which may include restored access, rescheduling or a refund where appropriate.

9. Student cancellations, transfers and refunds

Requests to cancel, transfer or withdraw should be sent to [email protected].

Change-of-mind cancellations and transfers are governed by the cancellation and refund conditions provided before booking. Any cancellation charge must be lawful, reasonable and proportionate to our legitimate interests.

If you miss a session or arrive too late to meet essential requirements, we will explain available options and any previously disclosed charges.

No cancellation policy, deadline, administration charge or “no refund” statement limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Where the law entitles you to a refund or another remedy, that entitlement applies regardless of our change-of-mind policy.

We will assess refund requests promptly, explain our decision and process approved refunds within 14 days unless another lawful timeframe applies or we agree otherwise with you.

10. Changes or cancellations by Ingleside College

If we need to change a confirmed course, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable.

If we cancel a course or propose a material change to its date, location, delivery mode or agreed services, you may accept a suitable alternative or cancel the affected booking and receive a refund for services not supplied.

You will not be required to accept a credit or transfer instead of a refund where you are entitled to one.

If training has already partly been delivered, we will assess the appropriate refund and other remedies in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.

11. Certification and Unique Student Identifiers

For nationally recognised training, certification is issued by the responsible RTO after the applicable assessment, identity and other lawful completion requirements have been met.

You must provide a valid, verifiable Unique Student Identifier (“USI”) unless a lawful exemption applies.

Creating a USI through the Australian Government’s USI service is free. We will obtain any required permission before creating or locating a USI on your behalf.

Certification timeframes will be explained in the relevant course information. We will notify you of any outstanding requirements or material delays.

12. Safety and conduct

We aim to provide a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.

We may take proportionate action in response to serious safety risks, harassment, violence, fraud or substantial disruption.

Where appropriate, we will explain the concern and give you an opportunity to respond or correct the issue. Immediate action may be taken where reasonably necessary to protect safety.

Any suspension or termination decision will be communicated with reasons and information about review or appeal options.

Refund entitlements will be assessed under the agreement and applicable law; they are not automatically forfeited.

13. Website use and intellectual property

You must not use our website to commit unlawful acts, introduce malicious software, gain unauthorised access, impersonate another person or materially interfere with its operation.

Unless otherwise stated, website content and learning resources belong to Ingleside College, the relevant RTO or their licensors.

You may use supplied resources for your own study and permitted workplace reference. Other copying, redistribution, sale or publication requires permission unless permitted by law.

You retain ownership of work you submit. You allow us and the responsible RTO to use it as reasonably necessary for training, assessment, moderation, recordkeeping and regulatory purposes.

14. Privacy and third-party services

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, relevant collection notices and our Privacy Policy.

Where necessary and lawful, information may be shared with the responsible RTO, service providers and authorised government or regulatory bodies for enrolment, training, assessment, certification and reporting.

Any consent required for marketing, photographs, recordings or testimonials will be requested separately from acceptance of these terms.

Our website may contain links to external websites or use third-party booking, payment and learning platforms. Relevant third-party terms will be identified where applicable. Using these services does not remove our obligations to you.

15. Australian Consumer Law and liability

Our goods and services come with rights and guarantees under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any non-excludable consumer guarantee, remedy or other statutory right.

Where a consumer guarantee is not met, you may be entitled to remedies such as rectification, cancellation, a refund or compensation, depending on the circumstances.

Subject to applicable law, each party is responsible for loss or damage caused by its breach of this agreement, negligence or unlawful conduct.

Your participation in practical training does not waive your legal rights.

16. Complaints and appeals

If you have a complaint, please contact us:

  • Email: [email protected]

  • Telephone: (02) 9072 8061

  • Address: Suite 230, Level 2, 10 King Street, Rockdale New South Wales 2216

We will acknowledge your complaint, explain the process and aim to resolve it fairly and promptly. If more time is needed, we will explain why and provide an expected response date.

Complaints about nationally recognised training or assessment may also be referred to the responsible RTO under its complaints and appeals procedures.

You may seek assistance from NSW Fair Trading or another relevant consumer protection body, regulator, tribunal or court.

Our internal process does not prevent you from exercising external rights or seeking urgent relief.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future website use and bookings by publishing a revised version with an updated date.

The terms accepted when you booked continue to apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or separately agreed with you.

Publishing updated terms does not retrospectively reduce your rights.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and applicable Commonwealth laws.

The courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not limit any right you have to bring a claim in another competent court or tribunal.

If a provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be ineffective to that extent, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply where possible.
