How long does it take to complete a first aid course?
A first aid course will take 2 to 5 hours of face-to-face learning, depending on which first aid course you take. The online first aid course module includes reading and a multiple-choice questionnaire that you can do in your own time.
How long does a first aid certificate last?
The validity period for each first aid certificate is shown below. A refresher course is recommended to renew your certificate.
- HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support – 3 years
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid – 3 years
- HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting – 3 years
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - 1 Year
Will my First Aid certificate be recognised?
Yes, the first aid Statements of Attainment we provide will be recognised wherever you go throughout Australia. Training and assessment is delivered on behalf of Skills Network Australia Pty Ltd, RTO No. 41410.
Not only will your First Aid certificate be accepted Australia-wide, your training will be in accordance with guidelines set by the Australian Resuscitation Council.
