How long does a first aid certificate last?
A first aid certificate is typically valid for three years, whereas CPR must be renewed annually. After this period, the certificate expires, and you must complete a refresher or new training course to renew your certification. Although the first aid certificate remains valid for three years, it is often recommended to refresh your knowledge and skills more frequently, such as annually, to prevent skill fade and stay up to date with current practices.
